All that really needs
to be said has been said by our clients, whose success remains forever
etched into our hearts and minds. We’ve seen one success after
another and yet each pound dropped, each inch lost, reminds us that
there are no small goals, only small waistlines. Let their stories
of determination and motivation inspire you to achieve the success
you so richly deserve.

Jennifer D.
Lost 40 pounds and 54 inches
I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I’ve done it all: protein plans, fad diets, and all the commercial weight loss centres out there. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, but the weight always came back. I had just turned 39 and did not want to be turning 40 with all that extra weight. Being 5'11", I can carry and mask quite a bit of extra weight without anyone noticing a big difference, including myself. It always came as a shock to try on a size I thought should fit and have it be much too small. I would beat myself up for days, drowning my sorrows with food, of course! I didn’t believe I could do things that required physical strength or effort, and I would deflect any compliments about my appearance, thinking people were just trying to be nice.
Now I am shocked when I try on a size I would never have considered would fit and it’s sometimes too big! It’s a constant, pleasant surprise to look in the mirror or fit into small sizes – a surprise I hope I never get over or take for granted. I feel fit, attractive, and ready to take on the world! My family and friends have been very supportive, but I have to say that there is nothing more satisfying than meeting someone you haven’t seen for awhile and hearing the compliments from them. I’m actually starting to believe those compliments now! It can also be satisfying (and very surprising) to get checked out by the opposite sex in a public place. I thought those days were long gone for me.
The Herbal Magic counselors promised me that I would not be alone on this journey, that I wouldn’t be abandoned as a success story as soon as I hit my goal, which was the scariest, most challenging time for me. They have kept that promise the whole way. They were my own personal cheerleaders and gave me the sense that my success is as important to them as it is to me. What I really needed from a weight loss program was one-on-one support and accountability, and as I’ve said, the counselors made me feel like there was nothing more important to them than helping me reach and maintain my goal. They were there every step of the way to cheer my success, be my partner in troubleshooting my challenges, and to be my sounding board for laughter or rants, depending on the day. You aren’t going to get that support from large groups, online diet programs, or books. What a gift to start out with a weight issue among strangers and end up feeling fit and healthy with three new close friends by my side. |
